Dorset business Boil and Broth has been honoured with the Export Award, sponsored by Associated Veterinary Services, at this year’s Pet Industry Federation (PIF) Awards. The ceremony took place on Thursday 6 November at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Stoke-on-Trent.
The Export Award recognises companies demonstrating outstanding international growth, a strong export strategy, and a commitment to advancing UK-made products in global markets.
Rachel Down, Managing Director and Founder of Boil and Broth, said:
“Receiving this Export Award is a tremendous honour for everyone at Boil and Broth. It reflects our dedication to producing premium, natural pet nutrition in Dorset, and our ambition to take British-made quality into overseas markets. To be recognised at the PIF Awards gives us real pride and momentum to build further global partnerships and help pets everywhere thrive.”
Founded by Rachel Down eight years ago in her Dorset kitchen with just one slow cooker, Boil and Broth has grown into a thriving family business run alongside her husband, Simon Down. The company now operates from an expanding facility in Shillingstone, North Dorset, producing 100% natural bone broths for both pets and humans. All products are made in the UK using whole-food ingredients and sustainably sourced materials.
From humble beginnings to international exports, Boil and Broth has remained committed to its mission: providing clean, nutrient-rich nutrition that supports gut health and overall wellbeing. This recognition at the PIF Awards marks a major milestone in the company’s journey from local start-up to an internationally recognised Dorset brand.
Following the award win, Boil and Broth will continue to scale its export strategy, form new distributor partnerships overseas, and grow its presence in key international markets, while proudly maintaining its Dorset manufacturing base.
