UK pet treat brand and PIF member PARK LiFE Pet has launched human-quality crisps made exclusively for dogs.
Founded by Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Richard Marles and his wife Libby, PARK LiFE has introduced Dog Friendly Crisps. The roast chicken-flavoured, grain-free snack is made from sliced potatoes and hand-cooked in small batches using traditional methods. The crisps contain no added salt, sugar, lactose, or artificial additives, making them a safe choice for pets.
The idea was inspired by the couple’s Labrador, Penny, who would watch longingly as they shared a packet of crisps on the sofa. That moment sparked a mission to create a safe, dog-appropriate alternative to one of the UK’s favourite snacks.
“People love sharing food with their dogs — it’s part of the bond,” said Marles. “Dog Crisps let owners enjoy that premium moment without worrying about what’s actually in the bag.”
With 98% of UK households buying crisps and 60% of dog owners interested in dog-safe versions, PARK LiFE is targeting a clear gap in the market. Unlike traditional crisps, which can contain high salt levels and harmful ingredients, Dog Friendly Crisps are designed specifically with canine wellbeing in mind.
The launch marks another step in PARK LiFE’s growth story. Since historically turning down the two Dragons on the television show, PARK LiFE has gone from strength to strength with innovation at its core.
Richard said: “We have always loved creating treats that feel fun, memorable and different. The idea for dog-friendly crisps came from real life with Penny, and we wanted to turn that little moment so many dog owners will recognise into something special for pets.”
