The PAWD Calming Pouch has been awarded the “Recommended Product” mark by The Dog Trainer School (TDTS) after achieving an 85% “would recommend” score during independent testing. This result, which exceeded the 80% minimum threshold, was based on real-life assessments conducted by professional dog trainers and behaviour professionals across the UK.
PAWD Calming is described as a drinkable calming supplement intended to support dogs without sedation. TDTS members used the supplement during the trial with their own dogs and client dogs in everyday situations, such as at home in the evenings, prior to fireworks, and when exposed to stressors like visitors and busy walks.
Trainers reported back that a number of dogs appeared calmer and settled more easily. Feedback indicated that the product often “took the edge off” enough to allow training and behaviour work to progress more smoothly. Ease of use and acceptance by the dogs were also rated highly by the professionals.
Helen Wainwright, Co-Founder of The Dog Trainer School, commented on the testing philosophy: “Before founding The Dog Trainer School, I worked as a product tester at Good Housekeeping, where everything had to be fair, transparent and practical. We’ve brought that same evidence-based approach into the pet world. With PAWD Calming, our testers weren’t looking for a miracle cure – they were looking for something that genuinely helps dogs cope better in real life. The feedback shows it can make a meaningful difference for many dogs when used alongside good training and management.”
A TDTS tester shared feedback on the product’s impact on a dog’s ability to manage triggers:
“My dogs are noticeably calmer and more relaxed around triggers when having PAWD drinks, meaning we can actually work on our training plan – a huge change!” (Charlotte, Tails Trails, TDTS member)
