Rachel Spencer, a Pet Industry Federation member, has raised £1,250 for StreetVet through sales of a specialist content planner for pet professionals. StreetVet is a charity dedicated to supporting people and their animals who are experiencing homelessness.
The donation was generated through sales of the Pet Business Content Planner and Companion between 2nd and 9th December. During this period, £5 from every sale was committed to StreetVet as part of the Big Give Christmas campaign. This initiative meant that every pound donated was match-funded, allowing a £600 donation to be doubled to reach the final total of £1,250. StreetVet exceeded its overall campaign target of £60,000, raising more than £65,000 in total.
The planner is designed to assist pet professionals with marketing and content creation. It includes key animal-related awareness days to inspire social media posts and press releases, alongside space for monthly and quarterly goal setting. Rachel Spencer, who is a journalist and ILM Level 7 accredited coach, also incorporated evidence-based journaling prompts to help business owners manage the specific mindset challenges associated with the pet industry.
Rachel Spencer noted that the contribution was made possible by the support of the pet professional community who purchased the planner. She explained that having previously spent time shadowing StreetVet co-founder Jade Statt, she had seen the impact of the charity’s work first-hand and wanted to provide practical support through her business.
