My Three Cats, a Pet Industry Federation member, has launched its first franchise territory in Blackpool. The expansion of the Warrington-based service reflects a growing national demand for specialist, in-home feline care. The new Blackpool franchise will be operated by Rachel Wrigley, alongside her husband Adam and son Sam, providing services across Blackpool and the Fylde coast.
Founded in Warrington in 2017 by Wendy Thomson Melling, and now operated alongside her daughter Eloise, the business has grown into an 18-strong team. Since the launch of its franchise model in September 2025, the company has reported significant interest from individuals seeking flexible careers within the pet services sector. This growth coincides with a year of industry recognition for the brand, including a BBC podcast appearance and a speaking slot at Cat Show Live to promote its Cats Deserve More campaign.
Founder Wendy Thomson Melling noted that the expansion reflects a shift in owner expectations, stating that while there are an estimated 12 million cats in the UK, many pet services remain primarily dog-focused. She observed that more cat owners are seeking in-home care that reduces stress and respects feline behaviour. Rachel Wrigley brings extensive experience to the new territory, having a background in cat ownership, adoption, and fostering, which were key factors in the franchise agreement.
