The Pet Industry Federation (PIF) has today announced the launch of the 2025 Innovation of the Year Award, celebrating the most groundbreaking idea, product, service, or technology shaping the future of the pet industry.
Now in its third year, the award highlights businesses that are pushing boundaries and making a real impact. Open to all pet businesses, it is free to enter, offering innovators the chance to showcase their ideas to an audience of pet industry professionals.
Ten finalists will be selected to present their innovation live at the Business of Pets Conference, taking place on Thursday 5 – Friday 6 June at Cranfield Management Development Centre, near Milton Keynes. In a unique twist, the winner will be decided by conference delegates, giving finalists the opportunity to pitch directly to an engaged audience of industry professionals, potential investors, and distributors. The winner will be announced on the final day of the event.

Nigel Baker, CEO of the Pet Industry Federation, said:
“We know there are incredible businesses in the pet industry innovating in exciting ways, and this award is designed to give them the recognition and exposure they deserve. Our 2024 finalists found this an invaluable opportunity to present their ideas to key decision-makers, and we can’t wait to see what this year’s entries bring.”
