Two Pet Industry Federation (PIF) members have successfully collaborated to achieve a major industry benchmark. The specialised bone broth treats manufactured by Boil & Broth have officially been awarded the prestigious TDTS Recommended Product status. The endorsement follows a rigorous, independent testing phase conducted by verified canine training and behaviour specialists across the UK, highlighting the growing commercial value of peer-to-peer validation within the specialist pet sector.
The high-protein treats underwent a comprehensive three-week evaluation protocol managed by 31 independent professionals from The Dog Trainer School community. Assessed against strict operational criteria including ingredient integrity, tactile handling consistency, and palatability, the range achieved an exceptional overall product score of 88 per cent. The Dog Trainer School, which actively supports a network of more than 330 force-free dog trainers and behavioural professionals, established the recommendation framework to provide pet brands with objective, real-world data points that build consumer trust.
Helen Wainwright, Co-Founder of The Dog Trainer School, stated that one of the finest aspects of the modern pet industry is the active willingness of independent businesses to support and elevate one another. She expressed particular satisfaction that this initiative united two PIF members who share an uncompromising focus on quality and operational transparency. She noted that such programmes allow innovative brands to receive meaningful, data-driven feedback from field professionals who utilise these items daily, ultimately strengthening buying confidence throughout the retail supply chain.
The extensive testing notes highlighted that the treats offer an exceptionally high-value reward for canine motivation, clean handling for trainers on the move, and seamless compatibility with interactive enrichment devices. Notably, before establishing the school, Helen Wainwright worked as a professional product evaluator for Good Housekeeping Magazine, importing that same structured, evidence-led methodology into the companion animal sector. The granted TDTS Recommended mark remains valid for a fixed 12-month period, after which products undergo mandatory reassessment to guarantee that manufacturing standards remain strictly consistent.
